Posted: Updated:

DeKalb County police say a suspected car thief ended up being hit by a stolen vehicle.
According to police, officers were following a stolen Dodge Voyager and a stolen Dodge Ram on Candler Road at Glen Valley Drive at around 3:45 a.m. They say when officers moved behind the Voyager on Golf Valley Drive, the driver jumped out of the van and ran in front of it.

Police say the man was struck by the van, which ended up in an embankment. The Dodge Ram was later recovered on Glenwood Road.
Investigators say the man hit by the van was taken to Grady Hospital in stable condition, and a woman police say may have been in the Dodge Ram was taken into custody.

Police say auto theft charges are pending.
