School bus involved in collision with truck

PEORIA, Ariz. -

A school bus with the Peoria Unified School District was involved in a crash with a pickup truck Monday afternoon.

It happened about 2:30 p.m. in the area of Agua Fria Freeway and Northern Ave.

There were 50 students on board the bus, on their way home from Raymond Kellis Junior High School in Glendale. No one on board the bus was injured.

The female driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with a head injury.

According to a spokesperson for the school, the pickup driver lost control of the truck for an unknown reason and hit the rear of the bus. The bus was forced off the roadway.

The driver of the truck may be cited.
