Study: Atlanta commute is 7th worst in US

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

A new study Texas A&M's Urban Mobility Report by says metro Atlanta has the seventh worst commute in the country.

For many metro area commuters who live it every day, this news comes as no surprise.  All News 106.7's Greg Talmadge says the same.  He's covered traffic in Atlanta for more than 30 years, and he's seen it all.  He says it's a classic case of too many cars and not enough space on the asphalt for all of them.

Drivers in Atlanta spend an extra 51 hours a year on the road.  That adds up to about $1,100 in added fuel costs and lost productivity each year.
