PHOENIX -

DPS has released the names of a family who were involved in the Monday collision on I-17 at Jomax.

13-year-old Cole Galaska was pronounced dead at the scene. 11-year-old Aiden Galaska was injured and is receiving treatment at Phoenix Children's Hospital. 49-year-old Richard Galaska, their father, was also injured and is receiving treatment at John C. Lincoln Hospital.

The latest on their conditions are unknown, but at last check, their injuries were life-threatening.

Monday afternoon, their Nissan Frontier pickup truck struck a big rig on Phoenix's Interstate 17. The family was driving from Rock Springs to their Gilbert home when their vehicle drifted into the shoulder near Jomax Road.

The pickup struck the semi, which was pulled over along the highway because of a flat tire. The force of the impact sheared the truck in two.

DPS has not ruled out fatigue as a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
