You'll be able to hitch a ride on the Sky Train at Sky Harbor Airport early next month.
After months of waiting, we finally learned Friday morning that the train will be up and running on April 8.
The train will have it's ribbon-cutting ceremony and then be open to the public at noon on April 8.
The driverless train will connect airport passengers between Terminal
4, the East Economy Parking lot and the Metro light-rail station at 44th
and Washington Streets.
Trains will arrive and depart every three to four minutes and operate 24 hours a day, year-round, at no charge.
The first stage that opens on the 8th will be about 1.7 miles long and take you to terminal 4.
The next stage will open in two years and will go from Terminal 4 to Terminal 2.
Eventually, the train will go all the way to the rental car center.
