TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - The University of Arizona Medical Center is reviving the lung and heart-lung transplant programs of the Tucson hospital.

The Arizona Daily Star reports that the program has been on hiatus since Dr. Michael Moulton left in early 2012 to join the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

The Tucson hospital has now hired Dr. Jesus Gomez-Abraham to head its lung and heart-lung transplant programs.

He's leaving the University of Utah where he has been surgical director of similar transplant programs.
