DETROIT (WJBK) -

Prosecutors are trying to stop Bobby Ferguson from being released from prison on bond as he awaits sentencing.  Ferguson along with his pal, former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, were convicted on corruption charges after a lengthy trial.

Prosecutors told a federal judge that one reason Ferguson is a flight risk is because he once got a phony driver's license under the name Antonio Cortez-Julian Talley.

Fox 2's Charlie LeDuff found the mother of the real Antonio Cortez-Julian Talley, who said she lost her wallet back in 1999 when her son was just three years old.

"I think I lost my wallet with the Social Security number in it, and I made a police report back then, but I have never heard anything to come of it," said Monica Pennix.

Ironically, Pennix said her son is currently in juvenile detention.

Watch the video report for more on this story and more of Charlie's conversation with Talley's mother.
