Boot camp classes teach kids how to have fun while exercising

Posted: Updated:

A local women's fitness program is helping get kids active while educating parents on how to make nutritious meals.

Childhood obesity is a problem that's been addressed by Michelle Obama and seen on weight loss television shows, and Boot Camp Babes are doing their part to get kids fit.

Kids ages 4 to 10 can have fun outside and get some exercise during a mini-boot camp class led by an instructor with Boot Camp Babes.

The class shows kids how to exercise with medicine balls, hula hoops and scooters. Boot Camp Babes generally host classes around holidays when kids have a day off.

While the kids are playing, parents can get tips about how to cook healthy and fun meals your children will want to eat.

Boot Camp Babes is a women's fitness program where women can empower themselves and become stronger at classes in Arcadia, Chandler and Gilbert.
