Onemore thing, about today's technology anniversary.
On this date in 1973, on a Manhattan street corner, a Motorola executive made the very first mobile phone call to a rival at Bell Systems. The message was clear: the race to perfect cellular tech was over. Motorola had done it first. The exact words weren't recorded. It was probably something like, "can you hear me now?"
You and I know that Apple and everyone else in the mobile communications industry already has the "kill switch" technology, but they'd rather not spend the money on it. Instead, they'd rather have us spend more money to replace more stolen phones.
