A new speciality hot pepper sauced created locally is now available to heat up your favorite dishes.

Created by Chef Tom Keshishian and the Street Eatzz team, the new 313 Foodie Sauce is available in select stores, at the Royal Oak Farmer's Market and online.

Keshishian offered up the following recipes to try with the new sauce:

313 Chicken Ballz

A quick and easy appetizer with minimal clean up

Ingredients:
1 lb of fresh ground chicken breast meat
2 lightly beaten large eggs
4 Tbsp of 313 Foodie Sauce
1 Tbsp of olive oil
1 tsp of Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
1/4 cup finely minced onions
1 tsp salt
1 tsp granulated garlic
1/4 tsp dried thyme leaf
1/4 tsp black pepper
2/3 cup of plain bread crumbs

Method:
In a large mixing bowl combine ALL of the above ingredients and mix well by hand.
Remember you are using raw chicken so wash your hands before touching anything else after mixing and rolling.
Have a small bowl of water in your work area to moisten your hands when rolling the chicken into small walnut size balls. This will prevent them from sticking to your hands.
Make all of them the same size to ensure even cooking so you don't have some overdone or raw!
Place them on a non-stick sheet pan or coat one with olive oil to prevent sticking.
Bake in a 425* oven for 20 to 25 minutes, to an internal temp of 165* F. remember not to over cook since there is little fat in this recipe, or they will dry out.
If you are not sure if they are totally cooked, cut one in half and check to see if they have cooked through.
You can spear them with celery sticks or frill picks and serve with your favorite Ranch Dressing.

313 Lil Smokeys
We just jazzed up the 1950s favorite Swanky Franks, not a big deal but they taste even better than mom's or the next door neighbor's

Ingredients:
1 package Lit'l Smokies Beef Links - slice lengthwise down the middle but do not cut all the way through, just split them.
10 oz. brick of really sharp cheddar cheese - slice the cheese into 1 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/8" sticks
1 lb of thick cut bacon
Par cook the bacon in batches using the microwave. I cooked them for 3 minutes on high. They should be pliable so you can wrap them around the links.
Cut each bacon strip in half.
Now, lay down some 313 Foodie Sauce into the sliced links, how much... let your insanity be your guide.
Place each Cheddar stick into the links and wrap with the half strip of bacon, secure it with a toothpick and place on a non stick baking sheet with the cut side up. Don't want to lose all that cheese.
Bake in a 400* oven for 15 minutes.
Plate them and get ready for a tastebud sensation.

Westborn Hummus Salsa
This is a quick and easy healthy snack, when you need to pull the rabbit out of the hat for those unexpected road trips.

Ingredients:
Westborn Market  Hummus - 17 oz package
1/2 cup vine ripened tomatoes seeded and diced
1/2 cup English cucumber seeded and diced
1/4 cup green onions chopped
1/3 cup fresh parsley chopped
3 tbsp 313 Foodie Sauce                            
Salt to taste

Method:
In a mixing bowl combine all the ingredients EXCEPT the salt, and you might want to start with just 2 Tbsp of 313 Foodie Sauce!
Gently mix, then add the salt in small amounts until  you get it just right.
Now you are ready to travel, but don't forget to get the Pita Chips.
