McCain: Arkansas faces tough decision on Medicaid

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arizona Sen. John McCain said in Little Rock that Arkansas faces a tough decision when it comes to expanding Medicaid.
McCain spoke to reporters Friday in Little Rock before speaking at an event organized by the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service.
State legislators are considering a plan to use federal Medicaid funds to purchase private insurance for thousands of low-income Arkansans. A vote on the plan was delayed Friday as Arkansas House leaders tried to rally support needed to pass the program's budget.
McCain was originally scheduled to speak in Little Rock last month, but his lecture was pushed back because of a scheduling conflict.
McCain was the Republican presidential nominee in 2008 and lost to President Barack Obama in the general election.
