MESA, Ariz. -

Mesa Police say a man died during a possible home invasion in the area of Lindsay Road and US 60.

Officers got a 911 call from the home about 12:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Mesa Police spokesperson Sgt. Tony Landato says no one was talking on the other side -- they could only hear a commotion going on.

When officers arrived, they found a young adult male critically injured, another person with non-life threatening injuries and one other man.

The young man later died, and has been identified as 22-year-old Nelson Baker. Police are trying to figure out how he is connected to the home.

Landato says the third man ran off, but later returned and is being questioned by police.

Officers believe this could be a home invasion and robbery, but the motive remains undetermined. Several small marijuana plants were growing in the residence.

There is no one in custody.

Landato says they have more questions than answers. Detectives are still processing the scene.
