Prior to the Kentucky Derby coming up in May, a fundraiser for autoimmune diseases is being held on Saturday, April 20. The themed fundraiser is hosted by AARDA, the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association. A Derby Tea luncheon will take place at The Dearborn Inn from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The Dearborn Inn is located at 20301 Oakwood Blvd. in Dearborn.

Entertainment for the event includes a fashion show, featuring milliner Gena Conti's one-of-a-kind hats.

The event will raise funds to support autoimmune disease patient education programs, autoimmune research and public awareness programs. More than 100 autoimmune diseases affect 50 million people.
