Virus At PA School Sends Dozens Of Students Home

WAYNE, Pa. -

A quick moving virus believed to be a stomach bug at the St. Katherine of Siena School in Wayne sent more than 100 students and staff home this week.

School officials tell FOX 29 the school will be open Friday. Teachers, however, could once again be looking at empty classrooms.

St. Katherine of Siena first grade teacher and mom Jayda Orsatti says she caught the bug Tuesday night and was one of five teachers to stay home Wednesday. She says she's seen her share of viruses and wasn't worried.

Although school officials say there was no probable cause for the bug found at the school, they did plan to take additional cleaning procedures as a precaution.
