Authorities say one adult and three children were seriously injured in a rollover accident on Interstate 10 in Phoenix.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say an SUV carrying two adults and seven children apparently blew a tire about 3 p.m. Monday near 35th Avenue.
The vehicle swerved into the highway median and overturned.
Authorities say the woman who was driving was ejected from the vehicle and suffered possible life-threatening injuries. It wasn't immediately clear if the other adult in the car was injured.
DPS officials say the children range in age from 3 to 7. They say three of the children were taken to a hospital with significant injuries while the other four had minor injuries.
According to DPS, no one, including the children, was properly restrained.
The driver could face charges because the kids were not in car seats, as required by law.
