ATLANTA -

Now's your chance to book a first class ticket to Mars! A company called Mars One has announced an open call for anyone who wants to fly to and live on the Red Planet.

The group says anyone can apply, but there's a catch. It's a one-way ticket only because there's no technology that would allow a return trip to earth. The group plans on selecting 24 to 40 candidates. The group's medical officer says they are looking for five qualities in the applicants: resilience, adaptability, curiosity, empathy, and creativity.

The plan is to send the astronauts in groups of four, and land the first four people on Mars by 2023. The goal is to establish a permanent human colony on the planet.

There is an application fee, and applicants must submit a 30 to 70 second video explaining why they want to go to Mars and why they are the best candidate.

If you think you have what it takes, you can apply by clicking here.
