DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -
At least one person needed medical attention after a chemical spill at the CSX rail yard in southwest Detroit.
Fire crews responded to the scene and were able to clean up after a chemical used as a pesticide spilled in the area of 6750 Dix Avenue. One person was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital for treatment of symptoms that included a headache and irritated eyes.
Three others were effected by the chemical but refused treatment.
On its web site CSXT Intermodal says it provides rail-based services to North American supply chains with Freight Brokers, Intermodal Marketing Companies, Ocean and Truckload Carriers.
