$3K of meth found in Yuma man's vehicle

YUMA, Ariz. -

A 42-year-old man was arrested after meth was found in his vehicle when he was stopped near 12th Street and Haupt Avenue on Tuesday night.

Yuma County Narcotics Task Force agents say they suspected Ramon Altamirano was selling meth.

After getting a tip, they went to the area, known for selling drugs, and stopped Altamirano's vehicle as he was leaving.

During the stop, agents say they found about 31.4 grams of meth worth $3,140 and $1,177 in cash that they believe came from drug sales.

Altamirano was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for possession of a dangerous drug for sale, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
