Bikini boot camp: 5 ways to slim down in 30 days

Warm weather is finally here and the only thing between you and the beach is this: the dreaded bikini. The question is, are you ready?

Not to worry! You can slim down and firm up fast with a 30-day bikini boot camp and you won't get bored, because there are plenty of choices. First stop is the pool with Hydro-Toning.

"All the rules that apply when you regular weight train almost go out the window and it's just serious fat burning when you're in here," says Lifetime Fitness' Hydro-Tone Trainer John Clark.

If you want awesome abs then try Hydro-Tone four days a week. The special equipment provides resistance to target the stomach and waistline, plus, Clark says, "it's less compression on your spine, your knees, your hips, your ankles."

"So, if you have problems from running or doing other sports this is a great way to soften up your body and get an intense workout," Clark adds.

If high energy is your thing, then let's go Zumba.

"It's your ultimate dance party workout," Zumba Instructor Ashley Becker explains. "It is a little bit of salsa, a little bit on merengue, all those favorite Latin inspired movements put together in a cardio based theme class."

Just dance your way to a better backside and legs.

"If you can come and take Zumba 3-4 times a week in that 45 minute to an hour class, you're gonna start getting that dancer body, which is what everyone wants to have," Becker says.

If that's too fast, then slow it down with the precise movements of Pilates.

Pilates Instructor Jill Nelson says, "Pilates is definitely for getting that bikini body especially because we focus on the core and that area is so important as you know when we want to be out at the pool and the beach."

Just four times a week and you'll have leaner legs and a flatter stomach in 30 days.

For the ultimate bikini body, ditch the weights and just use yourself.

"Basically it's about ten full body exercises that you would be doing in about a 30-40 minute time frame," personal trainer Jason Hayes says. "It includes every muscle group and it would be an interval style to where you're keeping the heart rate up and burning the fat."

Repeat this routine five times for a complete head-to-toe workout.

"You can do this at home, you can do it in the office, you can do it in your garage, you can do it wherever you want to do it," Hayes continues. "Four to five times a week will get you ripped in 30 days."
