A Washington man was arrested for transporting $159,000 in marijuana. He was pulled over on I-40 near milepost 135.

A Yavapai County Sheriff's K-9 deputy stopped 29-year-old Gregory Bergren for a speeding violation. He was driving a gray 2012 Chrysler sedan.

While talking to Bergren, the deputy noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The deputy got consent to search the vehicle and found 53 pounds of marijuana in two duffel bags.

Bergren allegedly admitted transporting the marijuana to Texas for money.

He was booked into Camp Verde Detention Center on drug charges. The Washington native is being held without bond.
