Cooler To Start Memorial Day Weekend, But Sun Will Shine Later

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

It is not going to be hot, but it will be pretty, especially starting Saturday afternoon for the Memorial Day Weekend, FOX 29's Sue Serio says.

After a muggy Friday morning, temperatures will be falling and the winds will pick up. With cooler air moving in behind this front, we've probably already topped out at a high of 67 degrees.

We will have lingering showers and wind picking up. We'll dip into the 40s in some places overnight.

There may be a leftover shower on Saturday morning, then it will definitely be breezy, making it will feel chillier then it actually is. But the sun will shine by afternoon, helping us get to a high of 65 degrees in the city and 63 at the shore.

If you want to take a dip in the ocean, beware that the water temperature is still just 59 to 64 degrees.

Heading up to the mountains? You know it is chillier there. It will be sweater weather Saturday at just 55 degrees.

By Sunday, we're up to 70 in the city, 68 down the shore and 60 up the mountains. There will be more beautiful sunshine, but it will still be breezy.

The forecast for Memorial Day is sunny and nice as we climb to 72 near Philly and 70 by the sea and 68 near the Poconos.

So, make your outdoor plans for Sunday and Monday as well you can make your outdoor plans, as it looks like we won't see precipitation again until Tuesday, Serio says.
