Surveillance video shows SUV come crashing into store

MESA, Ariz. -

Dramatic surveillance video has been released of a car crashing through a Mesa store. It was an accident that injured 3 women.

Two of them were pinned beneath the runaway SUV. This happened at the JoAnn's Fabric store near Recker and Main in Mesa back on May 21st.

911 caller: "Hi I'm at Joann, a car just drove through the entire store and there's people trapped under it. Mom can you smell that gas, we have to get out of here!"

911 caller: "It's in the middle of the store, people are all around it and I'm getting out here."

911 caller: "A car just ran into the building, there are people down!"

The driver -- a 78-year-old woman -- told police she was trying to park the car but hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes.

Two customers and a store clerk were hurt. A fourth person had minor injuries.
