DETROIT (WJBK) -

Back in April, Charlie LeDuff named Detroit Mayor Dave Bing as the "Deadbeat of the Week." The mayor is now off that list.

We previously reported that in 2007 before Bing was mayor, he got some investors together and raised a couple of million dollars to build some luxury condominiums. He also got a $700,000 loan from the city, and they let him use a waterfront property. Long story short, Bing became mayor, The Watermark Detroit project went in the dumper, and the city took the property back.

We told you a leftover building at the site not only had shattered windows and peeling paint, but had become partially covered in graffiti.

Now an update. We don't know exactly who is responsible, but Friday that building was demolished.
