Dolph Lundgren: I Can Mess With Them, So It's Fun

Posted: Updated:

Dolph Lundgren has been in a lot of action movies and he's using that experience on his new show, "Race to the Scene". Contestants race to and from iconic movie locations and perform stunts inspired by some of Hollywood's biggest blockbusters.

The man who killed Apollo Creed in Rocky IV talked to Tony and Maria about how much fun he's having on the show because he doesn't have to do ANY stunts. All of those are done by people competing against each other...he just gets to egg them on.

Dolph also talked to Tony about watches...yes you read that right...and spilled some secrets about his Expendables and Rocky co-star Sylvester Stallone.

Like this one from ‘Pulp Fiction'...not for the squeamish.

Fun facts about Dolph:

  • Dolph is a Swedish actor, director, and martial artist. He belongs to a generation of film actors who epitomise the action hero stereotype, alongside Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Steven Seagal, and Jean-Claude Van Damme.
  • A graduate in chemistry from Washington State University, chemical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and the University of Sydney in Sydney, Australia in 1982.
  • Lundgren's breakthrough came when he starred in Rocky IV in 1985 as the imposing Russian boxer Ivan Drago.
  • Known for his stature and fitness, at peak, Lundgren stood around 196 centimetres (6 ft 5 in) and weighed 250 pounds (110 kg), and continues to be an influence in the world of fitness and bodybuilding.

Born and raised in Liverpool, signed by an inexperienced agent named Brian Epstein, hustled into the studio with a genius producer named George Martin...and out of that session came a hit song called "Do You Want To Know A Secret." Now here's the twist…we're not talking about The Beatles.
