Prescott Valley man wanted after fleeing from authorities

Martin Zinkl Martin Zinkl

Authorities are looking for a 62-year-old Prescott Valley man who is wanted for allegedly running his vehicle into an unmarked car and then fleeing from them on Wednesday.

Prescott Police and Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT) are looking for Martin Andrew Zinkl.

Officers attempted to stop Zinkl's van and trailer near Willow Creek Road and Highway 89A because they believed he was traveling with a man wanted by PANT. They also reportedly knew Zinkl's Arizona driver's license was suspended.

As the officer approached Zinkl's van, police say he started to pull away and then struck the front of an unmarked PANT vehicle as it tried to block him from escaping.

Two detectives inside the vehicle weren't injured.

Police say Zinkl continued down the road, through Heritage Park, down an embankment and onto a trail.

He allegedly abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot.

Officers didn't follow Zinkl down the embankment.

Police with K-9 teams continued to search the area for several hours, but weren't able to find Zinkl.

Zinkl is wanted for Aggravated Assault on Police Officers and Failing to Stop for Law Enforcement.

He's described as a white male, 5'10", 150 pounds, with long stringy brown hair. He was last seen wearing a straw hat and a dark colored t-shirt.
