Catering hall shuts down

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A Long Island catering hall abruptly shut down this week. The venue had booked and collected payments on dozens of weddings and parties.

Many of these customers have events this weekend that they have already paid thousands for. They found out Thursday that the manor east catering hall is shuttered.

The owner now claims that he had no idea he was being evicted. But a lot of his jilted customers aren't buying that.

The Nassau County Sheriff's Department, which handled the eviction, told Fox 5 that it was lawful and that manor east was given fair notice.

Anyone who has been affected is asked to call Long Island Catering Association hotline at 516-462-9001.
