CHANDLER, Ariz. -

It was a last second decision at the checkout counter at Circle K -- a Big Gulp in one hand, a Chandler woman said, I'll take a couple of Powerball tickets too. That turned out to be a million dollar decision.

"It was one of those hot Arizona days and I stopped at CIRCLE K to get a big drink. And when I was waiting in line, I decided just on a whim I was going to buy a couple of lottery tickets -- and the rest is history," says Barbara Buss.

A new chapter for Barbara Buss -- the one that could be titled striking it rich.

"I rarely play. It was just a spur of the moment decision to get two tickets."

The jackpot was $140 million, but Barbara didn't know that. She just thought it would be fun.

"It was a quick pick. It was surreal to look at the ticket then to look at the website and the first, second through the fifth number matched. And it was just a surreal feeling."

"John was outside working and I ran out and said I think I've got five numbers and I checked. I thought I won a hundred thousand dollars. I did not know till I got here that it was a million dollars!"

Yep, she found out at the lottery office that her haul wasn't $100,000. She needed to add a zero. She sums it up this way.

"Stunned and excited and really grateful!"

Barbara says she plans to donate to charity, save a bit and travel too.
