Jake T. Austin: They Had A Sense Of What The Outcome Was

Posted: Updated:

Jake T. Austin has grown up before our eyes. He's best known for playing the lovable and goofy youngest brother on Disney's "Wizards of Waverly Place," but with "Wizards" having aired its series finale a year ago, Jake said his final goodbyes to Max Russo.

Now, in his new role on ABC Family's "The Fosters," 18-year-old Jake is playing Jesus Foster, the middle son in a diverse family about two moms who are raising both biological and adoptive children.

Diverse and history-making.  Jesus's two moms, played by Teri Polo and Sherri Saum are getting married on the show's season finale, an episode called "I Do," which was actually filmed on the same day of the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling which re-opened the door to same-sex marriage in California.

Jake joins Tony McEwing and Maria Sansone on Good Day L.A.

Fun Facts About Jake T. Austin:

  • Beginning a career as a child actor at the age of seven, Austin is a five-time Young Artist Award nominee, best known for his role as Max Russo, the youngest of three wizards on the Disney Channel original series Wizards of Waverly Place, and as the voice of Diego, the 8-year-old animal rescuer on the Nickelodeon animated series Go, Diego, Go!.
  • Jake attends the Professional Children's School in Manhattan, New York City.
  • Austin began his career in 2002 at the age of 7, with roles in commercials, and in 2003 he appeared in his first "credited" role as "Kid 1698" in a comedy sketch on the Late Show with David Letterman.
  • He first gained notoriety in 2004, when he landed the role as the voice of Dora's adventurous 8 year-old cousin, Diego on the Nickelodeon animated series Dora The Explorer.

Sutter Zachman had his first record deal when he was barely out of his teens. You may have seen the Orange County native was on stage at the Largo and other hot clubs around LA. He then left town...after what he called a few "bouts" with the music business, but now he is back with a new EP called ‘Repeat Offender.'
