PHOENIX -

Phoenix Police say a 3-year-old died after he was ejected out of a van during a crash Saturday afternoon. The child was reportedly not wearing his seat belt.

A woman driving a van full of four children was hit by a pickup truck after allegedly running a red light near Broadway Road and Central Avenue.

The minivan rolled onto its roof and 3-year-old Brian Arimendi-Virgen was thrown out the window.

The children, ages 5, 7 and 12, and the 26-year-old female driver were all taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, at least half of the children and the driver of the van weren't wearing their seatbelts.

Police say everyone in the pickup truck was wearing their seatbelts and were not hurt in the crash.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Officers say there were no indications the woman was impaired.
