Family upset misdemeanor charges filed in fatal crash

CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. -

The family of a 70-year-old woman killed in a crash is upset after the driver accused of causing it was indicted on misdemeanor charges.

The crash on State Route 101 in Villa Rica killed Jean Laltrello earlier this year.

Loved ones tell FOX 5 that their grief has turned to anger with the charge of second-degree misdemeanor vehicular homicide.

Troopers say the wreck happened when Christopher McIntyre's pick-up truck went airborne and landed on Laltrello's car.  Court records show the 24-year-old has a checkered history for speeding and reckless driving.

Authorities say McIntyre was not driving under the influence in the crash that killed Laltrello.
