Chief Craig's plan to curb Detroit carjackings

DETROIT (WJBK) -

A wave of carjackings in just 24 hours is spreading fear on the streets of Detroit. It comes as the new police chief launches a new program to crack down on car thieves.

Chief James Craig to us "Were down, year to date, roughly 33% in carjackings. Still not enough."

"I'm calling a meeting together of our business owners. Party stores, liquor stores, gas stations, where those have been locations where carjackings have originated."
