High School Coach Suspended For Slapping Player's Helmet

Posted: Updated:

A high school football coach is in trouble for slapping the helmet of one of his players during a nationally-televised game.

Cameras caught a high school coach in Florida giving his quarterback an earful, followed by a smack on the helmet.

The coach was suspended for two weeks from all athletic activities and three days from work at the school.

The coach says he talked with the player and his parents after the game, and neither cared about the slap.

Is this the typical thing to do in football, or does the coach need to pick on someone his own size?
