Los Angeles, CA -

Scary moments for passengers headed to Seattle.  Their plane suddenly had engine failure while in the sky.

Flight 477 had taken off from LAX and it was headed to Seattle. Shortly after take-off, the right engine stopped working. The pilot declared an emergency and quickly returned to LAX where he managed to land the plane with only one engine.  SkyFOX heard the emergency call and quickly flew over the scene capturing exclusive footage of the emergency landing.  On board, 118 passengers with a crew of 5.

Alaska airlines officials say their pilots routinely prepare for this type of emergency.  The plane has been pulled from service while an investigation is conducted on the engine failure.   All the passengers were placed on a different flight headed to Seattle.
