3 displaced after Chandler garage goes up in flames

Updated:
CHANDLER, Ariz. -

Three people are out of their home after a fire broke out inside their garage early Wednesday morning.

Fire officials say one of the people living at the home, near Alma School Road and Frye, smelled smoke and alerted the others.

When fire crews arrived, the garage was completely engulfed in flames.

Everyone was able to make it out safe and fire crews were able to keep the damage mostly contained to the garage.

The people who live at the home were displaced for the night because firefighters had to cut holes in the roof in order to get to the flames.

The cause is still under investigation, but fire officials say it doesn't seem suspicious.
