PHOENIX (AP) - A woman accused of trying to give away her baby to strangers outside a Phoenix convenience store has been sentenced to two years of supervised probation.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 37-year-old Rozenna Luna was sentenced Thursday.

She pleaded guilty to one count of child abuse in July.

Phoenix police were called to the store May 15 to check on Luna and her 6-month-old daughter.

Witnesses told officers that Luna was asking strangers if they wanted a free child.

Police say Luna allegedly had been drinking and smoking methamphetamine two days before the incident.

They say she made no attempt to contact any safe haven locations, government agencies or family members for help.

Luna's child was in state custody after her arrest, but has since been returned to the child's father.
