CHANDLER, Ariz. -

A Chandler man is behind bars, accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a minor.

Police say David Levitan arranged a meeting with a 13-year-old girl he met online.

"You have a 30-year-old who is in a chat room, meets up with a 13-year-old girl in this chat room, they start a conversation of chatting, emailing, that eventually turns into an exchange of phone numbers and texting," said Chandler Police Sgt. Joe Favazzo.

Emails from the girl's phone shows that she and Levitan had sexual contact inside of his vehicle, according to court documents.

Her mother found the emails and called police. They set up a sting operation to take Levitan into custody.

30-year-old Levitan was taken into custody, and faces multiple charges including luring a minor for sex and sexual conduct with a minor.

After his arrest, police identified a second suspected victim of Levitan's. He allegedly admitted he knew it was wrong, but he "could not control" himself.

Police say this serves as a warning for parents.

"They're literally getting through that computer and they're getting into the home and they are eventually getting their hands on our children," said Favazzo.

FOX 10's Ty Brennan reports.
