Investigators looking for Andrew Dikken, a person of interest in a Granite Falls slaying, have located the truck he was believed to be driving; however, he remains at large.
The 1996 GMC Sierra pickup was found in a remote location roughly 5 miles north of Belview, Minn., off of Redwood County Road 7.
Police are still looking for 28-year-old Dikken following the death of 27-year-old Kara Monson. Monson was found dead inside her home in the wake of a breakup with Dikken and investigators believe domestic violence was a factor in her slaying.
The Department of Public Safety confirmed Tuesday that Monson died of multiple gunshot wounds. Christopher Panitzke, 28, of Redwood Falls, also suffered multiple gunshot wounds and remains at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Anyone who knows of Dikken's whereabouts is urged not to approach him because he may be armed and dangerous. Instead, tipsters are encouraged to call 911, the Granite Falls Police Department at 320-564-2129 or the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office at 320-564-2130.
The investigation is ongoing.
