The family of a D.C. Firefighter who recently lost his life in a motorcycle accident came home from the funeral Wednesday night to find their home had been burglarized.

Someone broke in through a kitchen window and took computers, televisions and jewelry.

Terrance Boston was assigned to Engine 23 in Foggy Bottom.

His home on Lusbys Lane in Brandywine, Maryland did not look empty Wednesday morning and throughout the day as family and friends attended a home going celebration in Suitland for Terrence Boston.

Close friends of the family say cars were lined up in front of the house and in the driveway. There is even a sign indicating the house was equipped with an alarm.

Prince George's County police say the thief or thieves got in through an unlocked window and in addition to the electronics took a wallet and women’s purses.

The Firefighter leaves behind a wife (who is a firefighter in Fairfax County) and three young children. The baby is just six months old.

Boston was killed August 26th while riding his motorcycle on Old Branch Avenue in Temple Hills. Police say a driver cut him off while making a turn in front of him and Boston was thrown from the bike.
