TUCSON, Ariz. -

A man was arrested after he allegedly collided with and killed a motorcyclist near Bopp and Kinney Roads on Saturday afternoon.

Deputies say 53-year-old Michael Bell and a friend were riding their motorcycles when 59-year-old Sherman Kidd Jr. came up behind them on his motorcycle.

Kidd was reportedly speeding and passing cars in a no passing zone.

According to deputies, Kidd came up behind Bell and their motorcycles collided.

Both men were taken to a hospital with life threatening injuries.

Bell was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Kidd was released from the hospital and arrested on Thursday.

Deputies say speed and alcohol may have been factors in the collision and that both Kidd and Bell weren't wearing helmets.

Kidd was booked into Pima County Adult Detention Center and charged with one count of manslaughter.

The person riding with Bell reportedly didn't stop after the crash.

Deputies want to speak to the motorcyclist riding with Bell.
