Miley Cyrus Video Causes Stir At University

Posted: Updated:

A college in Michigan removed a 500 pound piece of art from campus and it all has to do with a Miley Cyrus video. Last week, FOX 29 showed you the racy video for "Wrecking Ball" by Cyrus and apparently it's making an impression on the students.

Grand Valley State University in Allendale said Tuesday that it had taken down the sculpture called bilfilar pendulum, and placed in storage due to concerns about student safety.

A giant pendulum was removed from the campus at Grand Valley State University after college kids did their own Miley impression.

The sculpture was created by artist Dale Eldred in 1973. The school said it had been considering what to do with the piece before the recent parodies, which drew attention on social media website.
