Ben Falcone: We Got Hit With The 'Lucky Stick'

Posted: Updated:

"I was very shocked," said Ben Falcone when he heard about the death of his "Enough Said" co-star James Gandolfini.  It was one of the last movies Gandolfini made before he died in Rome three months ago.

"We didn't get to hang out all that much, but he had spoken very highly of his kids and he went to Italy with his son. He was a very nice guy."

In addition to speaking about the last time he saw Gandolfini, Ben spoke of the first time he met his future wife, Melissa McCarthy.  They were rehearsing a skit together with the comedy troupe, The Groundlings.  "We were in a circle, some sort of 'trust circle,' where you have to say something about yourself."

"It was very awkward," Ben says, until they realized they were both raised in Carbondale, Illinois.  One thing led to another and in 2005, Ben and Melissa were married.

"Enough Said" is now playing.  It also co-stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Toni Collette.  Find out more about it when Ben joins Steve Edwards and Maria Sansone on Good Day L.A.
