ATLANTA -

The Atlanta Falcons had a win Sunday well before they even took the field with a second church voting to reach a deal with the city of Atlanta to sell their property for a new stadium.

Friendship Baptist Church members made the vote Sunday to accept the $19.5 million buyout to move their congregation.

On Thursday, Mt. Vernon Baptist Church voted to accept a $14.5 million deal.

The land is needed to build the new stadium in the preferred "south" location which is closer to the MARTA station. The two properties were in the footprint of the planned $1 billion stadium. The Falcons hope to be in their new retractable-roof stadium by the 2017 season. The 21-year-old Georgia Dome will then be demolished.
