SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -

Two days after a helicopter crash in Yavapai County, we're learning more about the two people on board.

Today, we talked with someone who knows the youngest victim, a 25-year-old woman from Scottsdale.

They spent the morning at the Sedona airport at looking at old war planes. On the way back to the valley their helicopter went down near Cordes Lakes.

"She was just she had a zest for living. She was one of those people that wanted to change the world however she could. She could brighten up a room with her smile," says best friend Melody Kitchen.

She had big smile and big green eyes, and friends say 25-year-old Brynne Smith loved life.

"Whitewater rafting or balloon rides, she wasn't scared of anything."

When Brynne didn't come home Saturday afternoon, her friend Melody Kitchen had a bad feeling.

"Her phone was off and that wasn't like her for her phone to be off."

Brynne had sent another friend a photo text of the helicopter on Saturday morning, before she got on the helicopter ride to Sedona with a family friend. She was supposed to be home by 1 p.m.

"I'd seen a picture of the helicopter that she had texted before she got on it, and then I saw the picture of the helicopter that had crash and too much of a coincidence."

Brynne's family friend, pilot Chad Nelson, was flying the UH-1 model helicopter when it crashed nose-first near Cordes Lakes. The Saguaro High School grad died before paramedics could get to her.

Close to her family, kind, and adventurous. She was also a die-hard Cardinals fan.

Brynne also has a boxer named Jax -- he's going to miss his mom.

"I'm just going to miss her… I loved her like a little sister, she was a beyond special person anybody that just met her loved her. There was no way you couldn't."

Investigators still don't know what caused the crash.
