NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The NYPD arrested a suspect in a vicious beating inside a subway station in Brooklyn.

The victim was attacked with a pipe while seated on a bench on the northbound C train platform at the Ralph Ave. subway station on Sunday morning, according to police.

Leon Sims, 25, of Brooklyn is accused of repeatedly hitting the victim in the head with a pipe.

The man fell onto the tracks. EMS transported the victim to Interfaith Medical Center in stable condition. He suffered cuts to his head and a chipped tooth.

The attacker jumped down and fled along the tracks.

Sims faces two felony assault charges.
