Resident injured in NW Atlanta house fire

ATLANTA -

An early morning house fire in northwest Atlanta left a resident suffering with some smoke inhalation.

A spokesperson for the Atlanta Fire Department tells FOX 5 News that fire broke out at a house in the 1400 block of Blyss Avenue shortly after 4:30 a.m. Thursday. They say the structure was fully involved when they arrived.

Firefighters gave the victim oxygen and worked to help secure several dogs in the backyard.

Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
