October is also National Pizza Month and four Happy's Pizza locations will be celebrating by giving away 100 free slices of pizza on Oct. 3 from noon - 1 p.m.

The participating locations include:
Plymouth (560 Ann Arbor Road, Plymouth)
7 Mile and Evergreen (20150 W. 7 Mile Road, Detroit)
Westland (721 South Wayne, Westland)
Clawson (51 South Crooks, Clawson)

The Happy Burger

Ingredients:
One 4 ½" Brioche Bun
One 8 oz hand pattied burger
Three slices of Happy's spicy coin sausage (sliced horizontally)
¼ cup diced white onions
One thick slice of pepperjack cheese
1 cup of shredded iceberg lettuce
2 ounces of Happy sauce
One 6" Wood Skewer

Directions:
1. Toast the burger bun on a flat top grill (both top and bottom)
2. Season one side of the burger patty with Lawry's seasoned salt and table grind black pepper
3. Cook the burger on a flat top grill to desired temperature (rare, medium, medium-well, well done, etc.)
4. Grill the three sausage slices on the flat top grill (both sides) for almost one minute on each side
5. Grill onions
6. Place grilled sausage on the burger patty and place the grilled onions on top of the sausage
7. Melt pepperjack cheese on top of the burger with a lid **A quick spray of water under the lid will help create steam for a rapid melting process
8. Place lettuce on bottom grilled bun
9. Spread 1 oz of the Happy sauce on top of lettuce
10. Spread 1 oz of Happy sauce on top bun
11. Place burger (finished) on bottom bun
12. Place top bun on finished burger patty
13. Place skewer through the center of the top bun, through the burger and through the bottom bun for presentation
14. Serve the Happy Burger with one dill pickle spear and fries
