Two teenagers were involved in a shooting Friday night after a nearby high school football game in Hunting Park, sending both to the hospital.
It happened just before 9 p.m. on the 4200 block of North 15th Street.
Police say dozens of teens were outside when a fight broke out. Two male teens pulled out weapons and opened fire.
A 16-year-old male was hit multiple times in the buttocks, thigh and calf, and a 17-year-old was hit in the leg.
Both teens were taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.
The circumstances that led up to the fight are still under investigation.
Rain arrives for the second half of the work week. Another fall-like blast of cool weather to follow for the weekend.
Scattered showers are possible tonight as a cold front approaches the area. Otherwise, the best chance for rain will be Thursday afternoon and night where we'll see on and off showers and thunderstorms.
Clouds and showers linger though much of Friday. We may still see a passing shower Saturday. Unseasonably cool air returns this weekend where both days only see high temps in the mid 70s with many of us falling into the 50s at night.
