Driver looks down to text, almost hit by train

SUN CITY, Ariz. -

A driver narrowly escapes being hit by a train near Grand and 99th Avenues early Monday morning.

Michael Patrick says he looked down to text and the next thing he knew, the truck he was driving went across three traffic lines.

He then went flying into the air and landed on train tracks, in front of an oncoming train.

Patrick was able to jump out of the truck before train hit it, and dragged it about 30 feet.

He was arrested and had two outstanding warrants. Patrick's facing charges for driving without a license and trespassing.

Plus, Patrick tells us the truck he was driving wasn't his, he had borrowed it from a friend.
