The David and Gladys Wright home took center stage last year after a long battle to preserve it.

It was recently sold to a new owner.

He plans to turn it into a public museum preserving its rich history and allowing all to see the beauty of this rare gem.

While that may be a couple of years away, you can check out the mystery of this home with a rare look inside.

The David and Gladys Wright house has been a fixture in one east Phoenix neighborhood for nearly 65 years.

It's one of two homes that Frank Lloyd Wright built for his children.

Advanced beyond its time, from the concrete block used, to the signature architectural look that wright was so famous for.

The Tabula Rasa Collective at Studio Gallery is presenting David's Lawn: A Photographic Collection of David and Gladys Wright House.

The exhibit features personal pictures and items from the Wright family.

David and Gladys' grand daughters live in the valley.

His great, great granddaughter, Sarah Levi, is the creator of the display.

"These are personal family photos, kind of a displayed photo album if you will," said Levi.

There are dozens and dozens of pictures documenting the construction, which was completed between 1951 and 1952

One of the most sacred pieces you'll see are family letters.

"This is a correspondence letter between David and his brother John talking about the different materials of the house, specifically the blocks that were made and then these letters here are carbon copies of correspondence letters from David and Frank Lloyd Wright discussing the construction," said Levi.

You will see pieces of furniture that once filled the living room. There were built specifically for the house.

The family pictures are endless. From pictures of Gladys posing in the yard, to David standing in front of his lawn.

The treasure trove of pictures show the bond of the Wright family.

"with all the controversy that happened last year, I just really want people to experience what we were able to experience as far as we were able to see the construction and the importance to the house," said Levi.

The studio is located off 7th Street and Osborn.
