The Phoenix and Atlanta Police Departments are asking for the public's help in finding a missing U.S. Army soldier.

Ian Zappa Henderson was last seen on October 10th. His last known whereabouts were at Phoenix Sky Harbor boarding a Delta Airlines flight to South Carolina with a layover in Atlanta. He never made it to his final destination -- Ft. Jackson in South Carolina.

According to Phoenix Police Officer James Holmes, surveillance video from Sky Harbor Airport shows Ian Henderson going through the security checkpoint, then leaving the secured area. He then ran towards the east parking garage, hit a button on an elevator. Before the elevator could arrive he went down the stairwell into a waiting car.

Phoenix Police say the video indicates he wasn't under duress and left of his own free will.

A spokesperson for the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport affirms that Henderson never boarded the plane in Phoenix.

His mother said Ian is without his medication and may require medical attention. Henderson's bags arrived at Ft. Jackson.

He is approximately 5' 6" tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He had a brace on his arm and was wearing his Army uniform.

Neither Phoenix Police nor Atlanta Police are investigating this case.
